Default german food and WW

Hello,
I am now stationed in Germany for 3 years and am looking for any point
information on German food. Also if someone knows German (mine is
still not that good) and can help me translate labels I would be much
appreciative.

I speGerman, I could help if you like. Are you following German WW ? Since
it 's the same programme as the Belgian one I would be glad to help you out.
So ask away!

Hi Nathalie,
What is the German program? I am doing the American one and need to know
what calories, fat, and fiber look like on the label. Thanks for you help.

Hi Lee,
Currently I am staying in Landsthul but will be working in a town called
Miseau at the Army base there. The food is good but has lots of breading, is
deep fat fried and with lots of gravy--not good for someone who is trying to
stay with WW.

Hello Kristine, the Germans are on the European WW programme which is kind
of like the US point system, but based only on kcals and fat (no fiber).
Basically 1 point is about 50 Kcals.
Kcalories are also Kcalories in German, fat is Fett or Fettgehalt and fiber
is Faser. But I do not think that the amount of fiber is compulsory on
German labels.

Nathalie,
Do you know how they calculate the points not using the fiber (besides the
50 cals=1 point). Also how do I tell the serving size. Thanks.
