Default My Dad started Atkins I'm so proud of him

Hi,

My dad started Atkins about 3 weeks ago, and he is loving it. He
started at 260 and lost about 15 lbs so far. His energy increase so much
that when he takes mom to therapy twice a week he walks the stairs at
the hospital , 6 floors. and goes for a walk through the woods almost
every night. His sugar leveled out that he no longer takes his diabetes
pill ( he monitors his sugar reading faithfully) and stopped his
diuretic pill. All OK'ed by his doctor.

This is probably his first ever diet/ WOL and probably wouldn't of
happened if he never had a very bad stress test at the hospital,. he
left the doctors office thinking he had about a year to live if he
didn't do something now. He went to the local GNC to find a energy pill
(I forget the name) and the one there told him with all his medical
problems it wouldn't be a smart thing to do, and told him about Atkins.
( I have been telling him about low carb for a while but didn't listen
to me). So he bought the book, got in his supplies and started.

We are going to visit my parents this weekend and thought since he
doesn't have a computer I would post this for him and print of all the
best wishes for him.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. loretty

Loretta, that is awesome. Tell your dad we are ALL cheering for him to
continue enjoying this healthful way of eating AND the increased exercise
that is now possible for him. I can imagine how his outlook on life is
improving, too, with all this extra energy.

Have a nice visit with your parents.
