Default Grocery stores, convenience foods, and low-carb

Sometimes I don't have time to make anything to take with me to work, but
thankfully there's a grocery store within walking distance. There's also a
pizza place next door (with ok salads) and a Latin restaurant, everything
comes with either rice, beans, tortillas, or a combination thereof. The
grocery store is just the best place to get ready made lunch. A package of
ham, a package of cheese, tada. Hardboiled eggs at the deli. Premade
salads and little packets of dressing. (Why is it, btw, that Ranch
dressing from the bottle has 1g carbs per serving, and from those packets
it's 3? Ah well)
