Default What's with this anti-vegetarianism?

Can't we all get along? Heck, I could care less if someone wants to live
on soy.

Me neither.
There are lots of times I just don't feel like eating meat, when the smell,
the look or the idea of the texture is a real turn off.
To each his own.
This is a support group for LC, not an anti vegetarian group.

there are plenty of vegetarians who wouldn't touch soy with a ten foot
pole...

I'm not anti-vegetarian, I'm anti MILITANT vegetarian that thinks we are
all awful, evil, fat and unhealthy because we eat animal protein.

I'm in the "personal choice whatever works for you" frame of mind but
like religious fanatics, I dislike other people's preaching being
literally shoved down my throat. :-P PETA is a perfect example of
extremism.

A difference of opinion on lifestyles is fine and can be discussed with
pro's and con's in a civilized manner

When it degenerates into name calling and idiocy like "I'm right and you
are wrong and you are a dumbass and will die early" then I'm pretty much
done with it.

Most of the time anyway. ;-)

There are idiots in both courts.

A balanced diet is best IMHO to include food sources from Plant, animal
and fungal kingdoms.

YMMV.

Where would get protein? The "rice and beans" trick?

Well, I'm also anti-troll vegan. Perhaps that's what we have?

Just a few trolls passing through. At a glance it appears
some of them run keyword searches on posts and then go
attack. It's fun to point out the flaws and goad them into
statements that are outright idiocy. But like any troll
infestation it will pass soon enough.

Trolls are low carb, but they turn to stone when exposed
to sunlight. I've always wondered if the stoning process
increases their carb count.

Indeed...
But trolls must be fed to survive.
