What is it about God's character and nature is up for discussion? This is like discussing whether lava flow is hot, hotter or hottest. This is a game, a game of examining the Bible to see who comes up with the best situational explanation. It is a distraction to being Christian which I see Christianity as doing not philosophizing about. What is it about God's character that is up for discussion? Everything, including the existence or nonexistence of God, if not for discussion, certainly for individual consideration, thought and rethought, but probably not at a Bible Study. There, the existence of a God is pretty much accepted, I imagine, but the nature of God would certainly not be in agreement, especially the more things you attribute to God, unless of course you attribute EVERYTHING to God, in which case, he would be indistinguishable from NO GOD AT ALL. I guess this belongs in alt. support diet because it is "food for thought". dkw |

The inherent contradictions of your above statement prove that, as does the need for those who wish to continue to believe in your myth to commit intellectual suicide. |

It is a distraction to being Christian which I see Christianity as doing not philosophizing about. What is it about God's character that is up for discussion? I see you got the question right. Everything, including the existence or nonexistence of God, if not for discussion, certainly for individual consideration, thought and rethought, but probably not at a Bible Study. Which is the context I was commenting within. There, the existence of a God is pretty much accepted, I imagine, but the nature of God would certainly not be in agreement, especially the more things you attribute to God, unless of course you attribute EVERYTHING to God, in which case, he would be indistinguishable from NO GOD AT ALL. but the nature of God would
certainly not be in agreement, especially the more things you attribute to God, If you see your Lord reflected in the face of fellow human beings I can only hope/pray that what you see is One with the Holy Spirit, for your sake. All too often people soak themselves in the evil things of life and attributes of others, and they forget to look for Christ reflected back at them. For example, if your nature were to be reflected back at you when you next look into the mirror, rather than your reflection, what would look back? Would you be happy to move aside and let it willingly be reflected into the world, or would you take the time to examine the changes you could be making with Christ's help? Bible study, examination, going to church, meeting up with other Christians and so forth are all ways in which we stand in front of the mirror recognising the nature of our true selves and adjusting it constantly into the likeness of Christ. It is an on going process until the day we die. Jesus wipes away our sins when we ask Him into our lives. He gives us the new eyes to see through that mirror in new light. This is the power of the cross. WWJD? In Christ's love Carol T unless of course you attribute EVERYTHING to God, in which case, he would be indistinguishable from NO GOD AT ALL. It remains my choice to continue to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit in everything I say, do, and write, because HE is always right :-) May GOD continue to heal our hearts with HIS living water so that we can love our neighbors a little more and LORD Jesus Christ infinitely more, dear sister Carol whom I love unconditionally.
