To The Historian...
My brother, It is amazing and encouraging to hear what you have accomplished these past 10 months. Like myself, you have become committed to change your lifestyle for the better without the use of pills or surgery. You ARE an inspiration to those you interact with or see you on a daily basis, even though they may not acknowledge it. I am always encouraged when I read your posts of victories - large or small, as they help me to keep focus on the prize when I stumble. Thank you for being a part of this group and congratulations! Matty (I weighed more than Jared from Subway) 481/247/225 (starting weight/current weight/goal weight) First mini goal achieved - 104lbs lost 10/26/04 Second mini goal achieved - 137lbs lost 01/28/05 Third mini goal achieved - 183lbs lost 09/30/05 Fourth mini goal achieved - 204lbs total lost 01/30/06 Fifth mini goal achieved - 233lbs total lost by 08/31/06 Sixth mini goal - 256lbs total lost by 02/24/2007 |

To me it's one of the heartwarming things about this group, and sure helps to counteract some of the less edifying stuff we have to wade through. FWIW, I'm sure you are both an inspiration to many here. janice |

I am just a guy struggling to lose weight. At times successfully, and at times less successfully, but struggling just the same. Neil 385/282/220 |

Atten-SHUN! ASD Roll Call! Fall In!
Are you limiting your roll call to males?
We could turn this into a roll call for all members. There are quite a few new members and I would love to hear the stats for everyone. Atten-SHUN! ASD Roll Call! Fall In!
Ok, I'll fall in. My stats are in my sig. I've lost the weight by
eating less, eating better, and taking up exercise, mainly walking. I used to live off of fast food. I would literally eat at Jack in the Box 5 nights a week. And I ate though big Hungry man dinners for lunch while at work. During my ten minute breaks, I would stuff my face as with as many pretzels as I could. I'd have a couple of full sugar sodas, and maybe a candy bar and some chips. Now I eat things like beans with salsa in whole tortilla, Boca fake chicken sandwich, a sandwich with low calorie wheat bread and turkey with FF mayo, and I drink ALOT of iced tea with Splenda instead of the soda. Oh, I've also bought and use an electronic food scale. Now when I eat cereal and chips and whatnot, I actually eat just one serving instead of half the box. -- Annie As of 11-09-06: 258/182/140 Standing at 5 foot 4. 76 pounds lost. 42 left to go.
