Food & Exercise -- 5/25/2007
I'm writing from my hotel room in Minneapolis. Tomorrow is my
interview/presentation session at the Life Time Fitness conference. This morning I got up early and went for a run -- already hot at 6:30 a.m.! Later DH took me to the airport and I flew here and got settled at the hotel. I just had a room service dinner as I didn't feel like going out alone, then went for a swim, hot tub, and sauna. Afterward I ran into my gym manager, who's here for the conference, who asked me to join him for dinner. I would have if I hadn't already eaten. Eating wasn't the greatest today, but wasn't too excessive. Food: * 7:30 (home): oatmeal w/ peanut butter & flax seed * 10:45 (home): 3 fiber rye crackers w/ 3 slices f/f cheese * 1:15 (airline club lounge at airport): 6 oz. tomato juice; 4 small wheat crackers; 1 piece string cheese; 1 peanut butter cookie * 5:00 (bought from hotel shop where I went to buy toothpaste, since airport security confiscated mine :-) ): 1 caramel (largish -- the size of 2 or 3 regular ones) * 6:30 (room service): wrap w/ tuna salad & roasted roma tomatoes; green beans & carrots (opted for that rather than the French fries offered with the dish) Exercise: * 6:30 a.m.: 3 mile run * 7:15 p.m.: swimming -- 24 lengths (but the pool -- though a nice size for a hotel pool -- is only about half as long as the one at home -- I'd say 50 ft.)
