Hello everyone, my name is Franchesca and I have been overweight for most of
my life. I have just started Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight Solution book, and
things are already starting to change. I weighed in this morning at 274lbs.
I am 5'4". My highest weight was in October when I weighed 315. I have
decided to start working out at least 3 days a week, along with walking 1-2
miles at least 3 days a week. I am so excited about changing my life. I'm
not even going to ask you to wish me luck...because I know that I can and
will do this. My goal weight is 150lbs.

Thanks
Franchesca

Welcome Franchesca! I'm Tara and I started with Dr. Phil's UWS last week.
Since Tuesday, I have lost a total of 8 pounds. This isn't easy, but so
very worth it. I do see this is a total lifestyle change as well. It sounds
like you have a very great mindset going and we're here to support you. We
have the same weight goal so lets keep checking in with each other!

Stay positive,

Tara

Hello Franchesca,

I too read and followed some of the keys to Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight
Solution book. I started last August 27th by changing my way of eating and
started exercising and have lost 115 pounds now in 8 months. Actually I
started about the same time those guys on Dr. Phil's Weightloss Challenge
started too. Anyway I have another 10 pounds to lose to reach my weightloss
goal and am here to tell you that you can do it too.

As far as food goes I stopped eating junk food basically all together and
eat things like backed fish, chicken, turkey, salads, vegetables, and fruit
and the weight has been coming off pretty fast. For exercise I started out
walking to the end of the block and now walk four miles a day five
times/week and use a stairclimber or elliptical machine an hour a day, five
times/week.

I started at 300 pounds last August 27th and today weigh 185 pounds.
You've found a great place with great people to ask questions and they will
motivate you too. I wrote Dr. Phil a while back and thought that they might
have me on their show, but the season is about to be over so I don't think
I'm going to make it. A couple of his producers called me and liked my
before and after photos, but I guess someone else did a better job than I
did. At least I tried and will never have to wonder if I could have made it
or not.

Well you take care and keep us posted on your success,

Paul

Thanks for all the support guys. I just started the diet itself this past
Sunday. I am now on day 2 and I feel good. I'm not hungry, and I have been
walking more at work. My workouts are starting tommorrow....I have a stack
of Richard Simmons tapes I can use.
