I think, Jamie, that for some, it just ain't about food. Blood sugar issues
aside, I (over)ate for many reasons, not the least of which was unresolved
personal issues that were infecting every other area of my life. Eating was
how I dealt with them.

I went 12 years never feeling hunger. Ever. But I also never felt
*satisfied.* I'd talk to other people who would go on and on about how
their diet made them feel good, and "man, I'm just never hungry!" and stuff
like that ... I'd just smile and nod and say "wow" and go away thinking, "I
wish I could be like them." It wasn't until I began to deal with the root
of my problems that I could discover ways to process the general ups and
downs of life without bingeing.

So, for me, it's *so* not about food and hunger and eating till one is full.
It's a daily struggle, but worth every moment because I have little
victories that sustain me each day - and have had since 1999. Every day
without a binge is a good one.

This of course is not to suggest that your food issues are due to some kind
of ED. Just thought I'd throw down my nickel on an early Saturday morning
....

Best wishes to you,

I find myself making a lot of pizza-type things, usually using
nuked cheese as the crust. Even my daughter likes them. I think
I'm going to be able to get her to eat less-carby food, but it
will be a gradual transition.
