Atkins Shakes
kahout wrote:
Since I am a on-the-run commuter I often have the shakes for breakfast. I can normally get through to lunch without anything more but if I get hungry I get a couple eggs latter in the morning. Vanilla (1g carbs) or chocolate royale (2g) are my favorites. They are the only manufactured low-carb food I take in, all the better there are no sugar alcohols. The shakes are great for breakfast and they allow me to take my morning supplements without gastric problems. For starters they contain 850mg potassium, 20g protein, and 9g fat with only 2g carbs (6-4 fiber). How many calories are they? I am still looking for the ideal thing to dilute my one cup of half-and-half coffee with in the morning. -- Jean B., 12 miles west of Boston, Massachusetts, USA |

170 calories for a seven ounce can. They are on sale at GNC, so I picked some up today. I don't know when I will dare try them, but it had better be soon. -- Jean B., 12 miles west of Boston, Massachusetts, USA |
