FitDay says my last month averaged 3.2 pounds per week. This is my best
rate ever. It is odd in a way, because I have been expecting my rate to
slow down as my body weight gets lower.

Cubit
311/242.5/165
Modified Atkins

"Modified," because I didn't do the exercise, I use the "Fat Fast" more
often than he intended, and I count calories in addition to carbs.

PS: Before I discovered low carb, I desperately tried every way I could
think of to lose weight. Ephedrine was interesting, but I quickly regained
the weight. I even tried some dreaded exercise with no results. Now that I
know how to do this, I know I'll never return to pants with a 64 waist. In
November I'm going to Disneyland. I'll fit in the ride seats and standing
in line should no longer be painful!

I'm still fat, but my confidence is solid.

Congratulations, Cubit! You're doing all the good, and I guess the
accelerated loss was a pleasant surprise to you. Keep it up!

Even though I don't agree with your stance on exercise, the rest of your
attitude is spot-on and should continue to provide benefits into the near
future.

Sometimes, losing a significant amount of weight can inspire people to
start exercising. With less poundage to carry around, your joints don't
ache as much, you have more energy, and most people just generally feel
better about their bodies and want to take better care of them.

As long as I was careful, I never had aching joints while exercising, even
at nearly 370 lbs! And exercise really made me feel better -- moreso then
than now.

IMO, if you're sedentary, the best time to start exercising is NOW, not
later after you lose some weight. IMO, being sedentary is a much bigger
problem than being overfat. And what counts as exercise is a relative
thing, but moving is typically involved.

Even with the health conditions I have, I still move around. Sometimes I get
frustrated because of the payoff that comes with being active. Like if I take a
long walk - later in the day or night, I will be in pain in the legs and all
over achiness. Then the next day the same damm thing all over again. Or lose
sleep when the pain sets in at night.

But yeah, since losing weight, I have become more active. I have gained self
esteem. I feel a little better. I take more walks. I go fishing and biking with
my sons. Trying to find good fishing spots takes alot of climbing and walking
around. I plan on taking a canoe trip today and will use the arm muslces.
Keeping in mind what the neurosurgeon said. I have strength in the arms. Its
the muslces that are painful. Like Fibromyalgia does mean.. Fibro-Muscle..
Myaglia-Pain. Duh I say to myself. Trying to get it in my head, yes it will
hurt, but it will not kill me. Trying to work through the pain. The pain may
never go away, learning to live with it now. Acceptance.

Not giving up. If you havn't been active yet, get active. It does help with
weight loss. Exercise actually helps with depression alot also. Exercise
relieves stress.

I plan on having a great summer!!
