Default I love being a loser!

Hello to all.
I have been trying to post here for some time now. If you all see
this, then I've fixed the problem! (changed my newsreader).

Well, it's been a long time since I've popped my head in here (been a
lurker mainly... never had much to report), but now I'm on the right
track as far as determination is concerned, I've decided to give ASD
another go.

I'm Australian, 39 (*gasp* 40 this year!) married with 4 kids.

Since seeing my sister at Christmas, after she lost 30 kilo (about 60
pounds I think) in 6 months, I asked her (after getting my jaw off the
floor) to show me what she was doing, which I am doing now. (BTW, she
has since then lost a total of 40 kgs).

I started off eating 1200 calories, and up to 35g carbs per day. Now
I am eating about 1000 cals per day, but my carbs can vary from10g to
the full 35g. Not planned, just works out that way on some days. I use
a palm-top program called "Calorie King" (but the Australian edition).
If I lost this little gadget, I'd be LOST! It is my saviour. It
calculates everthing I put into my mouth, or *about* to go into my
mouth. I can be on the ball wherever I may be with this little 'toy'.

anyway...

I started on the 29th December, weighing *cringe* 107 kilo.
The first week I lost 4.4 kg. I know most of that is water loss, but
encouraging none the less.
Week 2: lost 1.8 kg
Week 3: lost 1.2 kg
Week 4: lost 1.8 kg
Week 5: lost 2.0 kg
Week 6: lost 1.6 kg
Week 7: lost 2.2 kg
Week 8: lost 1.6 kg
Week 9: lost 1.4 kg
Week 10: lost 1.2 kg
Week 11: lost 1.2 kg
Week 12: lost 1.4 kg
Week 13: lost 1.0 kg
Week 14: lost 1.4 kg
Week 15: lost 1.6 kg
Week 16: lost 0.4 kg
Week 17: lost 1.8 kg
Week 18: lost Nil
Week 19: lost 0.6 kg
Week 20: lost 1.6 kg
Week 21: lost 0.2 kg
Week 22: lost 0.4 kg

Total loss so far, 31.4 kg (that includes up to today)
I weigh myself everyday, but officially weigh on Mondays.
Today I weighed at 75.6 kg.

I am walking, eleptical & weights for exercise. (And I've also put a
rowing machine on lay-by).

Will keep you all posted each week after my weigh-in & let you know
how I'm doing.
Have always enjoyed reading the posts on ASD, now I hope to contribute
a little also.

All the best,
Gayle

You should post more often, Gayle. Your progress is impressive and I'm
sure we could learn from your experience.
