Default Just learning.. thank you for the help

Hi
I'm really new to this concept, and I look forward in learning from all of
you. I have stopped smoking, * 2 pack a day* ( 15 month anniversary) now
it's time to get fit..:-)
Please forgive me if I ask a question at some point that I should know the
answer.
Cheers
Eric, Canada

Congrats Quitting the cigarette is probably the best thing you ever did
for your overall health (and starting it, the worst)

Welcome, Eric. Congratulations on quitting. I'm in the middle of a
huge grumpy crave day. I found lots of helpful information here.
I'm sure you will, too.

Welcome to your new lifestyle, Eric! Think of all the money
you've saved already and think how much your body loves you
now. Good luck.

Congratulations on quitting smoking Eric.

I just celebrated my 4th year of not smoking on April 2nd.

If you remember back you will recall that you finally decided that you WERE
going to stop smoking and then you finally were able to.

It works the same way with the controlled carbohydrate diet. Once you decide
that you ARE going to get down to your target weight, then it will not be a
problem controlling your carbohydrate intake.

I have maintained an average of 23 grams of carbs per day since June 15,
2003.

As you can imagine, I have lost 52 pounds and am in the best shape I have
ever been in.

I did not begin exercising until I was within 10 pounds of my target weight.
Now, since I am lighter, I can exercise well.

If you have any questions or would like a pointer or two along the way just
e-mail me at placidbull at hotmail

Take care,

Placid
