I like the Atkins cereals OK, but read the labels. For instance, the
carb count for the Almond Crunch is for 2/3 cup while the Berry variety
is for 1/2 cup. Quite annoying, they should standardize.

I miss having some fruit with milk and a nice cereal.
Anyone know of a brand available? Check out King Soopers here a few
months ago and found nothing lower than 24 g's for 3/4 cup. There
must be somthing else available by now.
Thanks.

The local Walgreen's has a nce Atkins/Low Carb section and they were
featuring three different Low Carb cereals on sale (manager's chooice
items).

I was going to ask what people thought of them, but I lost the slip of
paper I wrote the names on.

The boxes appeared to feature numbers like 6 g and 8 g as carb counts.

So, there is stuff out there.

The highest carb count was for a General Mills product.

Other than Atkins, Hi-Lo makes low carb cereals--most 5 carbs per 3/4 cup.
Original, Strawberry, Vanilla Almons, and Maple Almond. We sell them at our
low carb store and they are quite tasty--better than Atkins.

If ya check out the ingredients listing for Hi-Lo and Atkins, ya find
they are almost identical, except that Atkins has sucralose, and,
therefore is sweeter. I did not find Hi-Lo Strawberry (the only one
I've tried of the Hi-Los) to be better than the Atkins (JMO)

One of the low carb cereals that Walgreen's had was Keto Cocoa Crips for
$3.99 instead of about $6.xx. Serving gives 3 G carbs and 21 G protein.

I decided to buy this one because I saw a Knox Gelatin recipe for
Cheesecake.

Just substitute my Splenda for the 1/2 cup of sugar. And pour it into a
pie pan with a shell made from these Keto Cocoa Crisp bonded together
with some melted butter.

I can hardly wait.

Thanks Rosie.
A cup of sugar free flavored yogurt with NUTLETTES is definitely a perfect
solution! Thanks.

Try making your own. I make mine with Flaxmeal, flaxseeds, a little oat
bran, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and a few pecans. Splenda to
taste. Don't overdo the nuts and seeds unless you are a big guy. A
pinch of cinnamon. Mix well in a baking tin. Now get a Splenda-
sweetened maple syrup and mix with a little tasteless poly-oil -
sunflower is what I use, but canola or whatever would do. Mix well.
Rub into dry mixture with hands. Mixture will clump together. Toast
result in a very low oven, 120C, for 45 minutes. Every 15 minutes, give
it a stir. Cool in tin and pack in ziplock bags. Brilliant with Greek
yoghurt or ricotta.
