Default The Top 10 Things You Don't Want to Hear About Losing Weight

Found an article with some hard facts about diets; I like it because it
not all pretty up like some other articles I've read in the pass or
some program tell you things you want to hear. It's kinda long so here
is the link.

The one I hate most is #3:

3) You can't spot reduce.
Genetics will decide where the fat will come off. Doing 1000 crunches won't
reduce your belly fat. Nor will 1000 leg lifts get rid of the fat on your
inner thighs. Your body does not burn the fat it needs from the body part
that you're exercising. Your body will burn fat much like an onion is
peeled, a layer at a time, if you will. So, don't overdo it on the exercise
for one specific body part and look to getting your whole body in shape.

I'd give anything to have my next 10 pounds all come off my
hips/butt/thighs. I know that even though I've lost lots of weight and my
hips/butt/thighs are much smaller than they used to be, they're still out of
proportion with the rest of my body above them. NO matter how much weight I
might lose, the ratio will always be the same. I am forever doomed to
buying relaxed/loose fit jeans whether they're a size 8 or a size 20. I
couldn't pull any other kind up over that area.
