I have been on all sorts of diets. with some or no suuceess . I am soon
to be 50 in march I swore i would be thin by fifty but here i am jut as fat as can be. Is weight watchers easy for somelike me. My family take up so much of my time I have so little left for myself. I will be doing this solo so please be truthful about expence for meeting and food I am haning on by string??????? thanks |

I wish I could tell you it's easy...But unfortunately it requires a lot of
thinking planning and changing of your habits...I also was on many diets...I finally walked into WW when I was 54 years old...Today 1 1/4 years later I'm near goal...No it wasn't any miracle but a great learning experience...I'm sure your family needs you but you need you even more...Take an hour a week if your ready and join...Not sure what you mean by doing it solo...In the meeting you will find many just like yourself all looking to get into a healthier lifestyle...For me the support and weekly weigh ins made a big difference...What I can say is that WW teaches you what you should be eating...If you select the flex system you will be able to eat anything...But you will learn portion control and probably better habits in what you select to eat...Exercise will also be discussed...As I said WW offers no magic bullet but for myself a lifelong overweight person it worked for me and many others here...I'm not exactly sure what I pay because it's billed to my credit card every month...Something like $9 or $10 per meeting...I hope I haven't scared you off...I'm sure others will give their opinions as well...Good luck...Enjoy the journey...GG wrote in message ... WW is easy. It does take commitment and a fair amount of planning. It's
mainly a matter of eating properly and eating sensible portions plus exercise. WW gives you an easy way of keeping track of how much food you consume. yes you can lose if you take even a little time for yourself, and truth is
if you want to keep caring for that family you need to be here to do it, if you die from the weight who will care for them, and I think the food costs are less than eating out and junk food combined, and we didn't clear the cabinets, just replaced better food when something ran out, Lee wrote in message ... -its easier than any other diet because its not a diet, its a way of life. -its easier because if you plan the food you actually spend less money in my opinion -its easier than feeling bad from being overweight. -its easy because I know I am in control. That's what I was thinking too. WW is the first (and last) diet I will ever
need. I find it easy to follow. Easy to stay on track. Easy to get back on track when I fall off the wagon. I can't say the same for some of the other ones I tried in the past. today is a perfect example of why I love it. We traveled this week, I
mostly made good choices and I think the bad choices are covered by my flex points. I have let the journaling get away from me. Rather than getting all stressed out or being upset, I am going to eat reasonably for the rest of the day and begin my journal tomorrow the first day of my week, I made this decision when I was getting my tape together to record my journal, I also had activity points from walking, I am not going to be upset, and just because I am not counting my points for today it is no excuse for going hog wild and eating everything in sight... My vision does not allow me to use the paper journal but if I could read it
I would, I am certain, and what I just learned AGAIN, is that I must record every single bite, even if I write it down and guess at the points. I do record if a particular recipe we try is better than average and I put that in the favorites, but none of my food issues is not enough variety so I try to not eat the same thing often... I use the flex points as an external structure to judge appropriate food intake as I only have starving and stuffed, no I am hungry or satisfied levels, Lee Teri wrote in message ...
