I found that amusing. Especially after reading that 32 million
americans are now low-carbing.

I suspect the guy is wrong.

Didn't somebody just post a couple days ago about her husband (who works
at Wonder Bread, I think) saying there is a lowcarb version in the
pipeline?

Wonder sells a light wheat bread. 2 slices is 18 carbs with 5 grams of
fiber. Meaning 2 slices have net carbs of 13 or 6.5 grams of carb per
slice. They dont call it low carb.. they call it Wonder Lite. I buy the
wheat, but they have white, sour dough, and other flavors.

Yes, I buy it too. They have had it on the market for quite a while.

Yep, I saw her post:

From: "Angie Rose"
Subject: mainstream low-carb breads
Date: Sunday, December 28, 2003 8:52 PM

Hey everyone I posted here off and on for years so when my husband (works
for wonderbread) told me this about 2 weeks ago I thought I sould come and
tell you all... but as I'm sure you know Christmas has a way of getting you
to put things off... so sorry if its been said already

Orowheat had a low carb bread out right now
Sara Lee is supposed to get a low carb bread on the market soon and
Wonderbread is going to have a low carb and a sugar free bread out by the
end of Jan. When Der gets this on his rout I'll be sure to let you all know
how it is.

I'm not a guy and I'm not wrong...
My hubby has a rout for wonder bread its his job to know what they have
coming out so he can bring it into walmarts, mini-marts, safeways and price
choppers etc... he said he thinks walmart is going to carry it but walmart
can be hmmmm (whats a nice way to say this) mean to the people that bring
products (soda, bread, chips etc.) in.

Wonder Lite has been out for some time. I dont know how they are going to
go much lower than 6.5 carbs per slice. My guess is they are not. They are
going to call it Low Carb and charge more.
