Hi,
On 19-Apr-2004, "bob" wrote: I am not sure what to make of this article, since i exercise at night after supper, i am pretty much in a jam http://www.cnn.com/2004/HEALTH/diet....ap/index.html\ The folks they're referencing are triathletes and marathoners. Not us. Relax. If after supper is when you will exercise then that's a good time for you to do it. Take care, Carmen |

For weight lifting, some carbs might be helpful before and after you
work out. They aren't necessary however. There are successful low-carb body buildiners. But I don't think during a weight loss phase, just doing the treadmill you are absolutely OK without carbs. This is the knowledge I've come across over the past few months at least. -Chad "bob" wrote in message news I am not sure what to make of this article, since i exercise at night after supper, i am pretty much in a jam http://www.cnn.com/2004/HEALTH/diet....ap/index.html\ bob 197+/160/160 on maintenance since 12/09/03 |

Believe it or not, this depends too. A single statement like this can't begin to address the issue of whether or not carbs are needed following exercise. It really does depend on a lot of factors. |

That's what I'm reporting. Thanks, -Chad |
