Everybody Behave!!

Very dangerous for a Christmas addict such as myself...lol... I ordered my son his first Christmas present about two weeks ago. I never get started this soon, but since it was on sale at Mastermind Toys I thought "Oh what the heck" and ordered it. It got here three days after I ordered and already wrapped too! Starting early can be a good thing, especially when using sales and clearance catalogues. I've had my daughters birthday present put away for over a month now, and her birthday isn't until November. It spreads out the expenses which helps. -- Erin in NZ 125/90/75 kgs 275.3/198.2/165 lbs "It is not the mountain we conquer, it is ourselves" Sir Edmund Hilary |

Everybody Behave!!
Oh, yes, we had a wonderful time -- except it was very cool and rainy for
most of the weekend. We were inside stitching most of the weekend, but had to go about a half mile for our meals and a half mile back afterwards, but I walked every time, so that helped. We also had a chef that prepared our meals, luckily they were very "healthy" and for the most part WW friendly. We will see after weigh in tomorrow. :-) Coleen "Paper" wrote in message ... Brenda --
It was a wonderful time. I love to cross stitch and it keeps my hands busy and you certainly can't (at least shouldn't) eat while stitching. :-) You should try to find at least a few minutes each day to stitch, I know it makes me a better person. Coleen "Brenda Hammond" wrote in message ... Oh, have a good time Coleen, sounds like it'll be nice and relaxing...... I love to cross-stitch, haven't done so for at least 2 1/2 years (since our son was born). -- Brenda 209/174/150 SWWC goal 165 |

Erin --
I love stitching -- I find it so relaxing plus it keeps those hands and the mind busy. Coleen "Erin Marsh" wrote in message . co.nz... I'm going to start mine up again tonight. I've cross-stitched Christmas stockings for my husband and my daughter, so now I have to get my son's finished by December. It'll keep me out of the cupboards anyway. And it's a good excuse to watch mindless television ;-) -- Erin in NZ 125/90/75 kgs 275.3/198.2/165 lbs "It is not the mountain we conquer, it is ourselves" Sir Edmund Hilary |

Oh Brenda, I didn't see this message before I suggested that you should
start again, so this is great news. Enjoy!!! Coleen "Brenda Hammond" wrote in message ... I've decided to take it up again too Erin. I've cleaned a spot on one end table and set up my stuff there, so now I just have to get comfy and start stitching. You're right, it is a good excuse to watch mindless television. I used to watch alot more of it before I got my computer, but now seem to be on there more than the tv. I usually just listen to it while stitching... -- Brenda 209/174/150 SWWC goal 165 |

Everybody Behave!!
Sonya --
We had a most wonderful weekend. We had about 22 ladies and we all had a most wonderful time. I rode up with Julie and we stopped at a cross stitch shop before we made it to the retreat, so we didn't leave the rest of the weekend --even when four car loads of stitchers went to the cross stitch shop. Julie and I were going to a fabric shop but we were having so much fun stitching that we decided not to leave. And we had so much fun that we decided that we need to do this every six months or so instead of only once a year. Yippee. Coleen "Sonya" wrote in message ... That sounds wonderful, Coleen! I have recently taken up cross stitching myself (partly in an effort to curb the night time bingeing), and a whole weekend with other cross stitchers sounds fantastic! You have fun now! Kristin --
Yes, we had a BLAST. I was having so much fun that another stitcher and I stayed up ALL NIGHT on Friday night. I finally went to sleep about 3:15 on Sunday morning and slept until 9:15, but that is all the sleep I got all weekend. So I spent most of today catching up on sleep. I can't wait until our next one -- hopefully in six months instead of twelve. Coleen "Kristin" wrote in message ... OH how fun, Coleen... hope you had a BLAST. I love to cross-stitch, although I'm still a newbie and kind of teaching myself I find it very relaxing! -- ~Kristin O~ 272/239.2/172 |
