I can tell you from experience you shouldn't do anything for at least a year
or two because it does shrink over time, even if a bit slowly, I started at
251.6 and at my lowest had lost 100 and the skin did reduce, Lee

I wonder how I will deal with the flabby rolls of excess skin.

I can already tell my body isn't going to be one of those where the skin
shrinks back nicely, even with exercise.

I think I might look worse in some ways.

I won't have the money for plastic surgery and I am afraid to die for
cosmetic reasons.

5'7" tall 245 pounds and my belly looks like I am 12 months pregnant. And

I
have had a c-section so my skins hangs funnny down there.

I just want to be skinny enough where I can look down and see, as Oprah

puts
it, my VaJayJay. I can't see her right now.
Sorry TMI LoL!
(Blushing)

But I am serious though...

Interesting. That makes sense, however, does not match my experience, so
far. At 320 pounds I had skin health issues in the fold between the belly
and leg. At normal weight the skin is pink/white and healthy, although you
are right about there being folds, wrinkles, and such.

Not everyone will get it, but it is something to be aware of. Those
more likely to get skin allergies, irritations and infections at
whatever weight need to be a bit MORE aware when there are folds of
excess skin.

Right now I am just exercising enough to gain strength to move on to the
heavy duty exercises.

I started on the treadmill Feb 1st 08 at 1 mile a day. Today I walked
almost two miles. I walk about 3.2 miles an hour.

I am planning on progressing to other exercises, for other areas of my
body, every week.

I am starting so slow as I haven't exercised since the late nineties and
not much then either.

I am also doing portion control and watching calories and fat.

And I am now at a 32 ounce DrPepper every other day. I plan on going down
by cup sizes and spreading the time between them farther apart until I
feel comfortable having one as a occasional treat.

S.O.S.

My recent reading in Gary Taubes' "Good Calories, Bad calories" seems to
point out that exercise may cause one to become hungry. The net effect
might be eating more than one burned off in exercise.

After 2.5 years, by eyeball, I would agree that the loose skin has reduced
quite bit. However, it is still a mess, and I failed to take photos of the
initial condition for comparison purposes.
