BTW, since you're obsessively reading "test" messages, let me clarify that my question about BF & DH on MFW was intended as a sort of usenet pun, not as any sort of chastising, LOL! But seriously, when's the wedding? Is that what this new quest for Absolute Beauty is about? I think you look great, by the way. Sucking in, but great. :-) Wendy |

Sucking in, but great. :-) Wendy Honest to goodness - I'm NOT sucking it in. Seriously. That is how I look. Ribs show, concave underneath and then the belly pouch, butt and thighs. The quest - yes... getting married in Zena - Warrior Princess land, I wanna look like Zena, Warrior Princess. and have the BF/STBDH be my Hercules. :-) (oh, he's got alot more work to do to achieve that look than i do to achieve mine. :-) But no, not really that isn't why i'm on the current bodyfat obsession. its just the current obsession. We go on and on in here about the fact that BMI is not a good standard to judge and that people should judge by bodyfat% readings instead. BUT - what I'm finding is that there is really no good accurate source of finding bodyfat. My current readings vary from 14% to 30% depending on what source you use. That is a hell of a lot of a difference. Its not 1 to 2% or 1-2 percentage points difference. Its ALOT. Its 19lbs to 40lbs. That's 20lbs (+/-) difference. You say you are at 29%. Det says she's at 20%. I've met both of you, granted, have not seen either at your current weight. But its really a curiosity factor. What the heck number to believe. I would believe I'm at low 20's. But I can't get a single source to get me anywhere close to that number Or as Lyle now states, BF% readings are flawed too. So, I'm back to "bag this" ... just do what feels good and go until i feel good. |

Okay, I'm willing to believe the mutant explanation. :-) You say you are at 29%. Det says she's at 20%. I've met both of you, granted, have not seen either at your current weight. But I can't get a single source to get me anywhere close to that number The "Ultimate Fit or Fat" book, Covert Bailey's latest, has pictures of various people and what they look like at various body fat percentages. I think it is helpful in getting an approximate idea in case you're prone to fooling yourself. But the BF% concept is important even without knowin an absolute because it keeps you valuing what is really important - and it's not WEIGHT. It doesn't matter how much you ought to way, exactly, it matters how healthy you are and it's always on a continuum. Or as Lyle now states, BF% readings are flawed too. So, I'm back to "bag this" ... just do what feels good and go until i feel good. That does sound like Lyle. Was he referring to masturbation at the time? Okay, I'm willing to believe the mutant explanation. :-) Hey - that's why when I start working out my abs my waist line INCREASED while I lost weight. At one point a couple years ago my waist was only 25" - its not almost 27". And its not fat (as the photo shows). The "Ultimate Fit or Fat" book, Covert Bailey's latest, has pictures of various people and what they look like at various body fat percentages. I think it is helpful in getting an approximate idea in case you're prone to fooling yourself. I'll have to go check that one out. I never have finished reading the Bill phillips book (I know, shame on me). But the BF% concept is important even without knowin an absolute because it keeps you valuing what is really important - and it's not WEIGHT. It doesn't matter how much you ought to way, exactly, it matters how healthy you are and it's always on a continuum. Weight will probably always be an obsession with me, but never an unhealthy one. I just know how easy it is to get out of control on the upwards trend, so I'll always be in maintenance mode to stay in control. Or as Lyle now states, BF% readings are flawed too. So, I'm back to "bag this" ... just do what feels good and go until i feel good. That does sound like Lyle. Was he referring to masturbation at the time? oh yeah - he's not got new m- material since I posted my pictures. :-) What's scary is that we call my sn "monkeyboy".... but after reading Lyle... I can't imagine calling him that naymore. Wendy, who usually skips Lyle's monkey stories Oh, I was having fun with it last night. |
