Default My plan is working :-)

Hi I'm back again.. Just thought I'd share this with you.

I started working out (3-4 times a week) about 9 weeks ago but didn't really
stop eating "bad carbs" until 5 weeks ago. I have lost about 11 lbs so 13
more to go! Since I wasn't losing much weight after a month of exercising,
I decided I must do some changes with the way I did things. I started a
food diary last month. I'm not anal about the total calories everyday but I
somehow eat about the same everyday... around 1500 Calories more or less.
My metabolism is still shot but I'm making do with what I've got.

Although I already realised it way before, if I won't eat right, my exercise
will not be optimised either. I had to make a conscious decision to give up
white rice, white bread, sugar, and maybe 95% of all processed foods that I
used to eat and crave for. I've gone back to basics... fruits and vegies
(thank goodness I like steamed broccolli) and meat/fish/chicken and all that
good stuff. No sweeteners for me either. Oh, I also drink whey protein...
apparently it's good for the muscles :-) Nourishing the body to enable it
to do more is so much better than just eating to satisfy the taste-buds. I
haven't craved anything sweet in 5 weeks or so. I just regard food as
"medicine" as such that it will affect my body somehow.

I'm giving myself about 3-4 months to reach my target weight and maintain
it. Hopefully I will have cool JPEGs to share when I'm done. I can't
wait. :-)

P.S.
I know my figures aren't as big as a lot of people here, but, it's very hard
to lose it when you haven't got much to lose!
