Funny how those little things can be so dang addicting. I now have 3 boxes in the
cabinets ... yet I'm not eating many of them. I tend to only eat half the
portion, figuring that 1 point is ok. I have found the last few days I have
talked myself out of any though. Not very filling when I feel like I'm starving.

Nice going Lesanne - you have this maintenance game down pat. It appears

that
you, Fred and I are seeing the same results with the maintenance (I think

there
are others also, but I can't remember names - lol) ... weight up on

weighin day,
or weekly average a smidgeon higher .. then next day the bottom falls out

again.
Guess that's what keeps us on a somewhat even keel.

I like your plan for Thanksgiving, definitely a positive attitude. And

you are
right. You have a great buffer for whatever outcome the week brings.

Well. My average for this week was 160. For consistency sake I am going

to
use it, although I am down again now. It is a half pound up from last
weeks average. Next week, I am going to be back in the 150's even with
Thanksgiving, I am on a motivated roll to get some off before that day.
And I gotta be real here, still plenty under goal.

Keepin' things real is what you're all about, Lesanne. LOL Even with
the .5 up average, you're still doing well holding steady.
Fluctuations are just a reality of human physiology.

I will not buy any meringues today...
OK, I'll buy them, but I won't eat any today....
OK, I'll eat one, but no more...
OK, I'll have 4 that's only 1 point...
OK, I might as well have 2 points worth....
I might as well finish this box so they won't be here to ruin my plan
tomorrow....
LOL
I don't know which was worse, when I had to drive 30 miles to get them so I
would buy (and eat) several boxes, or now that they are at our local store
so I can buy (and eat) them daily.

EXACTLY!!!

Sometimes I don't which is worse, not having them in the house at all,
or listening to/surviving all this infernal chatter (which you've
quoted verbatim). LOL

Yeah, at times the desire for meringues (and skinny cows and pudding
and...) feels like torture, but the peace and quiet of a meringue-free
house more than compensates.

Thanks for this great post, SuzyQ! You just saved me from going out in
the storm after those new skinny cows.

ROFL! I love this post, SuzyQ (and how wonderful to hear from you again). You
hit so close to the truth, I can apply this to so many things that I avoid like
the plague now. I'm going through this with the m&m's hubby brought home last
week-end. I'm being good though - notice the bowl is diminishing, and it isn't me
doing the job. G
