the original post was posted through a remailer service, thus making it
untraceable. It was also posted to a trolling newsgroup.

That or I must ask the possibly naive question of aren't the missions of
newsgroups like weigh****chers and fat-acceptance at odds with each other?

This and all this stuff like it that shows up on newsgroups is probably
attributable to somebody with nothing else to do. So they troll
newsgroups and think it somehow brightens up their own miserable lives.
