Default Anybody have a marinade for tuna steaks?

Hi all,

I have some lovely tuna steaks that I want to grill tonight, but can't think
what to do them in. Anyone have any ideas that will be less than 24 hours
marinating?

Grilled Fresh Tuna Fish Marinade

3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. Splenda
1/2 c. white wine
2 tbsp. butter
Marinate for 1 hour or so - turn after 30 minutes. Then grill, basting as
fish cooks.

Or here are a few links:

I just searched for tuna fish marinade and got lots of other ideas. It
really depends on your tastes, but there are lots of sites out there with
good marinade recipes.

Chris' marinade sounds like an excellent prospect. Thanks Chris!

We too love a good deep, cold-water fish, and eat it often. Our favorite
treatment is to coat it generously with olive oil, dust it with: salt,
cayenne pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder; and toss on a hot grill
immediately (no "marinating" needed).

Avoid overcooking! Use a very hot grill to quickly sear the outside, and
cook the fish...but don't succumb to the tendency to cook it all the way
through from both sides. The average slice (about an inch thick) should
have no more than 4 min. on the first side, and 3 on the second. Most
folks, especially those new to--or those harboring a general aversion to
fish--tend to over-cook it. This will quickly and sadly render it less
palatable.

Enjoy!
