100 DAY DIET TO START AT MIDNIGHT OF SUNDAY EVENING, 8-17-08!
For those interested in trying to adhere to a 100-day-low calorie
approach (to end the midnight of the Tuesday before next Thanksgiving), the starting line is this Sunday at midnight, August 17. After this deadline, if you are interested in adhering to such an approach, it will require low enough calories for long enough to make a helpful impact on your life. As a recent bit of research found "Short-term dieting success can help people control diabetes for years--even if they regain all the lost weight, a new study suggests." This study found that even if people reversed their weight loss after only 18 months, those who would manage to take weight off were much likely to get Type 2 diabetes. So does short-term weight loss help? If we are concerned about type 2 diabetes, it sure appears to be the case. And even short-term weight loss will help prevent risks due to high blood pressure, etc. So, if you're interested in trudging on for 100 days and the arriving at this upcoming Thanksgiving celebration much healthier than you are now, why not think about joining in with me?
