Default 1 hour diet

I have a co worker that is doing the one hour diet. This diet consists
of eating anything she wants for one hour a day. For example the only
times she can is between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m. Does anyone know if
this works? Just curious.

It depends on how much she eats during that hour. If it is thousands of
calories per day then no, it won't work.

Does it sound to you like something that is sustainable for the rest of your
life? Something you can live with forever is what is needed to lose weight
and then keep it off.

As others have pointed out you can consume a lot of calories in one hour.
Eating once a day also doesn't do anything beneficial for your metabolism.
Your body needs fuel all day long and not just once daily. I'm afraid your
co-worker might be headed for difficult times with the chosen diet. It's
best to choose a diet you can live with the rest of your life and not just
temporarily.

This reminds me of the Snoopy donut diet from a Charlie Brown cartoon
years ago. First day of the year, you eat a dozen donuts, and then you
don't eat anything else for the rest of the year.

This would likely work to help her drop some weight, yes. What is not
clear is how much. It is also not any easier than other "diets".
