Glad to hear you 're feeling so great, Bird! Indeed, that 'click' is waht it
's all about! It took me 15 years to get it... but now I just know I will
lose the weight.

Good morning friends,
We often talk about that little thing that goes off in our head that

clicks.
That "something" that makes us determined to lose weight. I don't know

how
to describe it but through the course of many years of gaining and losing
weight I have experienced it before. It is a fine place to be! Even with
the challenges of weight loss, it is the determination and long haul that
makes our journey a success or failure. I am three weeks into program and
it isn't all perfect but that "click" is here. I am not looking to
magically 40 lbs. I am looking to just follow the program 1 week at a

time.

I wonder if we that aspire to be perfect and are impatient have the

hardest
time learning this. I have had to slow down and realize I was going

nowhere
with my half hearted attempts to lose weight. Full commitment or partial
commitment, it is sticking with it that counts. Hanging in there beyond

the
first impulse to binge. I am doing that and I feel terrific. Just 5

pounds
gone has given me more energy than I had and so the cycle goes. Eat less,
move more, lose easier, FEEL GREAT!

Congrats on finding that 'click'. So many people never find it, or lose it
half way through (and I know that's happened to me). WW is a
self-perpertuating cycle as you've discovered too - the feeling great part
will be enough to keep you going I'm sure!

Jus a quick reply to say how happy I am that things are going so well,
Bird! It's great that even though we live far apart that we're "in
the same place". :-) You have a lot of wise words here, my friend. I
totally agree -- it *is* sticking with it that counts! "Hanging in
there beyond the first impulse to binge". Very true. Continued
success to us both -- to all of us!

Bird-
but how long can we continuously lose weight?? do you think that once
we reach our target weights we will still be obsessed with
gaining/losing?
