Default Dr. Mark Mattson's fascinating research

A hint of Dr. Mark Mattson's fascinating research can be found he http://www.pnas.org/cgi/content/full/100/10/6216

Turns out that fewer meals a day seem to be better than more meals a day, and one meal a day may well be better than two meals a day.

So if people tell you that three meals a day are definitely better for the average healthy adult than one meal a day, they are probably wrong.

And with one meal a day, it's much easier to break the habit of eating mindlessly, of having the kitchen be associated with food.

Good health to everyone!

Yours,

Caleb

Perhaps you'd like to explain how an experiment in feeding mice every
other day (including mention that the mice were able to gorge on food
all day on the days they were fed), has anything at all to do with
how many meals per day a human should have? Or did you post a URL
for the wrong page?

I don't have a cite offhand, but a number of the knowledgeable folks
from misc.fitness.weights have referred to studies showing that the
only number of meals per day that has poorer results for weight loss
than any other meal frequency is eating only once a day.
