Default Down another 1.4 lbs!!!! End run to New Years!

Hi all,

I weighed in this morning after a VERY hectic and trying week.

We had my family's Christmas Party last Saturday with the usual Italian
flare, Manicotti, Cannelloni, Breaded Veal Cutlets, Sausage with Peppers and
Onions, Roast Chicken, Roast potatoes, Mushrooms and Peas, Corn, pizza,
buns, salad and tons of baked goods!!!............It's the same every year!

Then I had my annual get together (later that same night) with my 3 buddies
where we played cards, ate and drank from 9:00pm until 1:00am!!!! there was
proscutto, salami, mortadella, capicolla, sausage, Homemade pizza, buns, 5
different cheeses, roasted red peppers and artichokes hearts and more!!!

Well, needless to say, I ate 65 points last Saturday!!!! I figured I was
going up for sure this week!........

Here's the key though......
-I planned ahead knowing what the food would be.
-I planned on what I would eat and I stuck to it!
-When my buddies said, "come on Eddie, it's only 1 day!", I respectfully
said to them, "look guys, you've been harping at me for years to lose some
weight and now that I'm trying and doing something about it, you are pushing
food on me? If you really want me to get healthy, then PLEASE respect my
efforts and stop pushing food onto me."........Well right then and there,
they all backed off and we continued playing cards. I felt VERY proud of
myself for sticking to it and not throwing in the towel!

For the rest of the week, I ate my daily points but tried to ensure that I
made the BEST possible healthy choices I could - well low and behold - the
scale paid off this morning!!!............I lost 1.4 lbs this week!!!!!!!
yAAAAAaaaa baby!!!! hehehe

I know I can't continue to have poor weeks and still realize a weightloss,
but I can surely tell all of you that planning ahead and sticking to my plan
had positive results for me. Standing up and taking a stand for myself also
brought me great personal satisfaction knowing that I have the power to
control what goes into my mouth.

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!!!! My tough week is over! Now I'm
looking towards Christmas Day that should be a repeat of Thanksgiving -
Turkey is Great!!!! and I can eat lots of it!

Cheers everyone!
Thanks for listening

Eddie

GO Eddie!! This is a great example of the maxim that one day does not make a
week.

Those are the foods I just miss the most! I'd eat them, but my digestive
problems would make me suffer mightily for weeks to follow.

Sounds like you did a great job planning in advance and got some good
results to show for it. Have a great holiday!
