Well, it's official. Still on a stall after two weeks. hmmm

I ramped up my carbs to 25 grams then 30 grams and am enjoying the newer
food choice. Calories are no more than 2000/day and I run 4 times a week. 33
year old male weighing 190lbs currently (down from 205) and am 5'10".

Not too sure what will kick me out of it, but I'll wait it out.

Lost 15lbs so far, the last 15lbs will be the slowest I think.

Help, advice, encouragment all needed.... Thanks!

Mike

two weeks isn't a stall. six weeks is.

Yeah, it's gonna be slow going for you, since you have so little to lose.
2 weeks isn't really a stall anyway. I advise weighing only once a month.
Keep at it and the weight will come off.

Mike,

After losing 30 pounds since Thanksgiving, I have been 'stuck' for
about three weeks. It didn't really bother me, as I now see this as a
WOE for my life. When I used to low fat 'diet', three weeks would be
three weeks of hell and anxiety for me and my family.

I felt a tremendous amount of peace this time. I could clearly see
where the clothes were fitting differently. If you believe in your
heart that this is a lifetime WOE, and you understand there will be
(planned and unplanned) slips along the way, you will be fine. You
have all your life to lose it! Many here would love to trade places
with you! Don't give up.

Regards,

Coff

True enough. Those words hit the spot for me Coff.

I only have 15lbs to go and I do have about 60 more years to do it in.

I have done low fat as well and have been miserable, but now on LC I eat
very well and am satisfied with how I am eating. Don't crave the "****" food
anymore. And best off all I lost 2.5 inches off my waist. So, all in all a 2
week stall is nothing.

Thanks Guys.

Still going to ramp up my running to 5 times a week though. I just love
seeing the tone and definition coming in.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I have almost the same story as you do in regard to Atkins weight
loss. It took 5 weeks of no weight loss before my stall finally
broke. It has gone up and down for the past 2 weeks with the final
loss being 5 pounds for this period. I have been using fitday for a
few days now and have been uncovering some hidden carbs that I did not
realize were there. Also, fitday lists additional carbs to what are
listed in the Atkins carb counter. I would just keep on doing what
you are doing and it will eventually move downward. I agree with
Coff. LC will now be a new WOE for me and I will not question the
weight loss. I feel so much better physically and mentally, have so
much more energy and my clothes fit again!! Keep the faith!
