It's all chenmical crap. Of course it's not good for us. No different

than
aspartame if you ask me. In a few years after Splenda is around a while
we'll hear about all the dangers of it. To be honest I'm surprised at

alot
of the purists here who put down all the low carb crap yet eat surcralose.
It's beyond me.

and what about fruits and vegetables... all those horrible pesticides...
you better stop eating those too! and meat! i can't begin to imagine the
terrible things eating meat will do to your health! no carbs, no veggies,
no sugar, no fake sweeteners, no meat...

oh crap, what does that leave me?

Getting a little carried away there aren't cha? No need to get your panties
in a knot. When you quit the denial, you will see that your post is a
pretty stupid response. Why? Your body needs food, it certainly doesn't
need sucralose. You *choose* chemical ****, whereas you *need* food to
live, you don't have a choice in that department. If one worries about
pesticides and steroids in food you can alway choose organic.
Again, I think it's funny how people just love sucralose, and eat it often,
but they declare themselves so pure because they don't eat the other low
carb processed crap.
Can you say denial?

No actually I do on the occasion. I never said I didn't Roger. But I still
think it's chemical crap AND *I* have never professed to being a puritan on
this newgroup. I do notice however, the hypocrisy when people will readily
harp on others when they write about processed foods. No matter which way I
look at it, Splenda imo, is probably the worst of the processed crap we're
"allowed" to eat. I'll just bet in the future they'll come on out and say
that it causes similar ailments and diseases as other chemical sugars. If
I'm wrong, I'll even let you be the first to tell me how wrong I am.

Splenda must be the reason you're still so fat.

I don't know any one who gets called a "purist" who eats
splenda/sucralose, or any AS. In fact, the opposite is true.

Who? Are you speaking of specific people, or the group as a whole? Some
here are puritans and others are not. Some eat splenda others do not. Some
here harp on SAs, others on LC products that purport to be one thing and are
not, and on and on. This group is comprised of many different people with
different ideas, who come at LCing from a variety of angles.

And certainly you are aware that organic food is not produced devoid of
chemicals.

Well then perhaps you should stop using it, Monica. I mean, you think it's
chemical crap, so why eat it?

Hi Jean,

For the uninitiated Mercola may sound legitimate, but if he says the
sky is blue I'm going to check for myself. :-) He's got his own
program and services he wants to sell. It's difficult to separate the
wheat from the chaff on his site, because there *are* sound articles
intermixed with the oddball stuff.
The testimonial from Lori in SC isn't proof of Splenda's dangers, it's
evidence that for every substance there's going to be a few folks who
are sensitive to it. It's like the one guy I met years ago who
honest-to-goodness hallucinates if he eats okra. He doesn't have to
know it's in whatever he's eating to have the effect. Why? Who
knows. Okra is still perfectly safe for millions of other people.

Take care,
Carmen
