I know it is only a pound, but I have been on 183-5 for well over a month!
I was laying down after a long bike ride got up and looked in the mirror and
said to myself, geez I look pretty thin. I very seldom hope (misspelled) on
the scale midday because I always weight 2-4 pounds more than morning, but I
said what the heck and did it. I weighed 182 and just ate a chicken thigh
and a ton of water for a snack. I was in shock. This is the lowest weight
I have weighed as a full grown person, which you would have to go back to my
sophomore year in HS (24 years ago)! I did get down to 183 in college for a
little while. Maybe I will get down to 180 soon.

In fairness, I am working out hard right now as well as LC. I am going on a
60 mile bicycle ride on Sunday and excited to ride that far. That will be
the farthest I ever rode in a day. In a month I will be doing the MS150.
150 miles in two days here in PA.

I have a big party to go to tonight. There is going to be cake. I love
cake. I will do my best. I want to wake up and be even lower.

Just had to share this with someone. Yahoooooo!

Congratulations curt, and I know you'll get through the party in one
piece, without one piece of cake. :-)

You must be pretty skinny at 6'2" and 180...I can't imagine weighing that...

I am a real cake lover too. Almost sorry you had to mention it.
But I understand because I would rather have my wonderful weight loss than
cake.
AND I have plans to actually HAVE some cake when I lose 3 more pounds.
So it's not like I can't have it. I just don't want it now.

The MS150 isn't for another month, so I have plenty of time. I am excited
about it and just to be able to do this is great. Thanks Low Carb! The 60
is this weekend. That will be my first organized bicycle ride. I think it
will be fun to be around other cyclists.

You know, I don't know if I am skinny or not. I seem flabby, but I am
hoping that will get better when my skin catches up. If it doesn't, then I
will really be lifting hard this winter, to bulk up and change my body more.
It is amazing what can happen when you start out eating LC and then lose
enough where you can work out. When I was 250, I didn't do much in the way
of working out, until I got down to 220. Then I started. It has been a
long time, but I will say, I am enjoying the ride. Not that I want to take
it again.

Roger, I enjoy hearing about your progress on you bicycle.

Curt, you said it was only a pound, but in reality, it is more than that.
I am curious what your weight was in the morning.....after that 182
during-the-day weighing? I sometimes step on the scale during the
afternoon to see how I'm doing...as I know with all my clothes and during
the day I'm usually about 5 lbs. more than the next morning will
be....it's kind of a check to see how I'm doing, not an official
weigh-in....those are taken with the same clothes on, the same time of
day, etc.

Curt, I wouldn't worry too much about the cake, as long as it doesn't
cause cravings. If I know I'm going to ride a lot, I will partake of a
piece of cake for special occasions. 60 miles is an accomplishment. It
takes me (here in hilly CT, although I've moved and my new route isn't
nearly as hilly) about 4.5 to 5 hours to ride that distance. I wanted to
ride a century by June 4, but I've moved and I haven't been able to ride
enough. So, my goal is a century by the end of this year, and I hope to
complete it in less than 8 hours. Good luck on your ride!
