Thanks for the info
Thanks for the information and links that you provided. I bookmarked them
for easy reference. I'm currently 5'4 and 215 lbs. I don't really exercise but I fully intend to change that. My goal is to walk to my sons jr. high which is only 2 miles and then back for a total of 4 miles a day. I figure if the kids in our neighborhood can walk there, I should be able to, hopefully. I'm sure it will take me a few weeks to get that far but I am fully determined to do it. We just moved to Northern California from the midwest and I really want to be able to look and feel better by next summer so that I can keep up with my kids better. I know I can do this. Melissa |

Excellent attitude, Melissa. You're being very positive about this, and I
know you can do it too. What diet plan do you have in mind? MadJock 204/189/165 "Missy" wrote in message ... Thanks for the information and links that you provided. When i began I had no idea that I would ever be walking 5-6 miles each afternoon. I was pretty sure I would keel over and die for lack of air - but..amazingly I didn't The first night I did just a mile, then stayed with that all week, then I think somewhere in the next 2 weeks I pushed it up a half mile more at a time, till now I'm VERY comfortable with 5-6 miles. I may keep pushing it up more as I lose more. Susan 260/219/160 --- 1month 6days 10:10hours of being smoke-free, 1,459 cigs not smoked, $269.92 saved, 5day 1:35hours of my life saved |

Melissa Hi Melissa, Walking WORKS! Do it every day and you will love what happens. I never exercised before I started walking. I cut my calories and started eating healthier food and lost weight. You can too! Do it - you'll never be sorry. Keep posting and it'll keep you focused. Everyone here is on some point of the same journey. -- Walking on . . .
