Default Pregnant!

Hi all,

I just discovered this morning that I am pregnant. I had a hunch, but it is
now confirmed.

I am just wondering... how should I go about my diet? I mean, I know I
cannot go on "losing" mode, but still, I don't want to gain too much either.
At the same time, I don't want to get obsessed and malnourish my baby...

Aye aye aye. So many questions.

Ah, and for the record: we are extremely happy.

Oh my gosh Congratulations!!! You take care of that baby, now!! I don't
know how many points a baby eats? More than just you and less than
double ;-).

Congrats!

Can't really help you with the diet other than to say eat carefully. Don't
eat for 2. Continue to eat your fruits and veggies. Increase your milk. I've
known woman who have watched very carefully what they ate plus were in good
physical shape not gain a ton of weight with their pregnancy. If you can
keep your eating (ie cravings) under control you should be good and getting
back OP after the baby is born will be a lot easier.

Congratulations!!!!

I'd talk to your doctor about the things you should eat.

If you follow the "What to Expect When You're Expecting" crowd, then their
daily dozen (or whatever they call it) covers pretty much exactly what you
should be eating anyway for a healthy WOL. They also have a what to eat when
expecting book too with recipes that are quite healthy sounding and low in
fat, etc.

Most importantly though (and I know I'm repeating myself) talk to your
doctor.

What Julie said: Follow your doctor/midwife's directives regarding
nutrition and weight gain. Period.
