Default Week 10 Back - Whittled a Little More Off

Lost 0.6 this week for a total 8.2 lbs.

I did notice something about myself this week...something I've known
and yet still fall into the trap of doing. I get so caught up in my
busy schedule and so worried about losing that I so militantly guard
my points that I rely too much on processed packaged food (like the
100 cal things, lean cuisine meals, frozen waffles, granola bars, rice
krispie treats) and have too many of them over a course of the day
rather than taking the time to cook something real and incorporate
more fruits and veggies. I ALWAYS do better when I cook and eat lots
of produce. This week I did my same old point hoarding and processed
food behavior that I KNOW doesn't work and had a little loss.
Basically I was lazy. Whenever I eat healthy and take the time to cook
I do far better.

So this week I resolve to cook more and get more produce eaten!

Happy healthy weeks to you all!

Good job on the loss. A loss is a loss any day.

How about working toward being more Core oriented? I do better myself when I
limit the processed foods.

Also, my leader says that we should limit our intake of cakey/cookie type of
treats to 2 points per day. That forces us to eat fruits & veggies as
snacks.

Haha lemme tell you about Melissa on core.

Week 1 - Do GREAT! Follow the plan religiously...lose nice weight.
Week 2 - Do okay on the plan. Lose some.
Week 3 - Rather than eating one pudding I eat all four servings
because i have no self control! - Gain weight!

I need the regimentation of the flex plan and points. I get too
slopppy and care free on core. I need the accountability.

It's the same for me too. I am really trying to stay away from
processed food.

I have the same problem....I like the way my body feels when eating core but
I still need the structure of the points plan.

What I meant by "core oriented" was to follow points but try and eat off of
the core list of foods. It rids your system of chemicals and sugars that
cause cravings. It is also a lot healthier.

Remember that if you HAVE to take the speedy alternative to home cooked,
you can always add a pile of steamed veggies to bulk it out and keep you
going!

You are doing well: keep it up!

I've had the Mad Munchies and Carb Cravings all week, due to TOM...
Resorted to a PB sarnie late last night! Roll on the menopause!

This is pretty much what I do, except for bread... bread is more of an
addiction than chocolate!

Hello Melissa,

I don't think we've ever posted back and forth to each other - so HELLO!!!

I see you are an active poster in this group! Very good. I'm sure you
contributions are appreciated. I too have a problem with CORE. I feel
great on it, but it gives me a license to over-eat

I've decided to try the "Eddie-Plan".......hehehehe........nothing magic
here.....I've been trying to do FLEX but only eat CORE foods and it seems to
be working well and I feel great.

Hang in there........Cooking really good food can be enjoyable. Hope you
have a great week!

learning is a big part of the success, have you considered core to get away
from the processed stuff, many at my meetings do this, core doesn't work for
me but for some it is a wonder, Lee
