15 "superfoods" - how many do you eat daily?
Brad , I have a question: do you count calories? The foods that you eat
must make for a very healthy person. I do eat much of these foods but not as often as I need to. You do well. glo |

I'm married too.. but that doesn't mean that I would like my hubby's teeth
to be stained bluish colors or have his breath reek of garlic/onions all the time! Don't take her for granted.... gee whiz! "Brad Sheppard" If you up your blueberry intake you may have a teeth staining problem - I'm married so it doesn't matter much to me grin. |

Of course you're right, but being married (to a very nice gal!) allows
me to do things that I wouldn't do if I was single and hunting for a mate. If single, I would go to tanning salons (harmful long term to skin), I'd get my teeth whitened (my dentist isn't comfortable with that), and I'd start using Rogaine (grow hair) and I'd be spending more $$ on clothes. I might even consider a face lift. Yes, I'd stay away from onions and garlic big time. "Perple Gyrl" wrote in message ... Fair-skinned people look wierd with tans. And I certainly do NOT stay away from onions and garlic. : ) Martha |

SPINACH: Frozen a couple times a week. Every day it's ready in the garden. WHOLE GRAINS SUCH AS OATS, WHOLE WHEAT BREAD, WHOLE WHEAT PASTA, BULGUR: Oatmeal or Wheatena every day for breakfast, bulgur, cracked wheat, barley malt added to all our homemade bread, barley in soups and salads. I made bulgur and cabbage once! BROCCOLI: Alternates with the spinach. YAM/SWEET POTATOES: Lunch for 2 days every other week. ONIONS AND GARLIC: EVERY gosh darn DAY! g TOMATOES: Every day in salad. OLIVE OIL: Several times a week in cooking. SALMON: Not nearly often enough - it's very expensive. I do eat tuna and pollack every week. TEA: When I'm sick or can't sleep. Does coffee count? g NUTS AND SEEDS: Sliced toasted almonds or walnuts or sunflower or sesame seeds on salad every day. LEGUMES SUCH AS BEANS AND LENTILS: Seldom and not because I don't love them. Seems like a lot of calories for a small portion. I should work on this. I do eat peas on salad. LOW-FAT YOGURT: Added to Wheatena for breakfast and a spoonful when I put it in my Newfie's food every night. SOY: Never - does soy sauce as seasoning count? BLUEBERRIES AND OTHER BERRIES: 40 acres of blueberries out my back door - free but for our labor. We put as many in the freezer as we can stand to rake and pick over. We have a lovely raspberry bramble but they are too dear to freeze. I stand there and eat them when I get back from walking. Heaven! GRAPES: When they're on sale. -- Walking on . . . "Perple Gyrl" wrote in message ... Hi Brad, they have fake and bake at salons now. I am very fair and avoid do my best not to tan or burn. I was fair when I met hubby and he told me he likes women with dark hair and pale skin like me. As Martha says... not everyone looks good tan. Personally, I wouldn't want to be with a man that tanned at a salon. All that means is that he is vain and likes skin cancer. I eat onions and garlic too.. but not as a meal, but to enhance a meal. I keep thinking of George Hamilton....ewwwww...... Martha |

Hi Perple Gyrl, I'd look good with a tan. What is "fake and bake"?

You go to the tanning salon and they spray a mist on you that darkens your
skin for up to 2 weeks. I've never had it done, as I like my pale skin. It is called mystic tan. "Brad Sheppard" wrote in message om... Hi Perple Gyrl, I'd look good with a tan.
