Default Atkins: The Complete Cookbook

I saw it today in BJ's, and almost bought it, but don't want something that
is duplicating the many I already have.

I threw Atkin's New Diet Cookbook and Atkins Quick and Easy cookbook
in the trash. With the exception of Atkins Fudge (which listed a carb
count that was off by about 35 grams), I can't think of a single recipe
that didn't go down the garbage disposal after one taste.

Published LC cookbooks that have had a number of rave reviews are
Fran McCullough's , Alex Haas' and Dana Carpender's.

Default Atkins: The Complete Cookbook

I made the Atkins chocolate macaroons last night. Not bad, it had a chew to
it, but I feel very guilty this morning.

It took 24 splenda packets to make this and I usually only use 2 a day. I
know coconut, egg whites, unsweetened cocoa are very low in carbs, but I
can't handle having "low carb" sweets around. These were only net 2 carbs
per small cookie- and I rationalized till I talked myself into 2 more.

I keep thinking " these are low carb- not that bad, even though I've eaten
my carb limit for the day. I grabbed 2 extra cookies last night. A high carb
chocolate cake has been in the kitchen for a few days-I know not to mess
with it, but these are teasers. Even 4 tiny cheesecakes were too much. This
is definitely one of my triggers to downfall.

Recipes are fair, some look good, but I can modify my own just as well.
Atkins would have done better to have 2 versions of a recipe. full size and
small recipe size
