I'm "normal"
According to the CDC, the range of BMI for normal weight is: 18.5 to 24.9
The CDC online calculator shows that my BMI is now: 24.4 (based on 5' 8" and 160.8 lbs.) http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/calc-bmi.htm If I were 122 pounds, I would be at 18.5 and the low end of "normal." |

Thanks.
When I get to maintenance, someday, I plan to return to low carb dining out. Also, I plan to buy lots of nuts. I don't miss cake or potatoes. Last night I was watching "Six Feet Under" and I got some twinges watching Rico's wife eat spaghetti. However, it was a low calorie day, and images of any food might have caused trouble. "Ignoramus20931" wrote in message .. . Congrats! Are you going to celebrate? Any interesting maintenance plans? Just curious, do you miss carby foods like cake or potatoes etc? i On Mon, 25 Jul 2005 14:20:03 GMT, Cubit wrote: According to the CDC, the range of BMI for normal weight is: 18.5 to 24.9 The CDC online calculator shows that my BMI is now: 24.4 (based on 5' 8" and 160.8 lbs.) http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/calc-bmi.htm If I were 122 pounds, I would be at 18.5 and the low end of "normal." -- 223/174.8/180 |

Well, maybe so... Except for the hair... I have read the best life expectancy is with a BMI of 18. My concern is opposition from family and friends. "JC Der Koenig" wrote in message . .. My concern is opposition from family and friends. I guess the way you want to look is entirely up to you. If your goal is to be healthy and live longer ( hopefully ), then having a BMI of 18 may acheive that. But to others, you may not appear to be a picture of robust health. Most women that I have discussed "body image" with tend to agree that they would rather date men that were over weight, than skinny men. I would not willingly choose to have a BMI of 18, even if it were proven that it extended life by 5 years. That would put me at around 135 at 5'11". "JC Der Koenig" wrote in message . ..
