"vegetarian" lunch
"jayjay" wrote in message ... You should be really proud of how well you handled your food choices while traveling. Thanks jayjay. I think I've done a good job so far. I had additional servings of fruit and veggies, more than I was "supposed" to have, but I feel ok about it because in each case I was truly hungry. There is a nice basket of fruit available here today and there was a nice raw veggie tray at lunch so I've been able to pick a few things to munch through the afternoon and fill up on fiber before the 3 hour drive home later. I'm not as stressed out about the next 2 trips I have next month. I found ways to exercise and I was willing to go through the effort to pack a cooler and find a grocery store when I got here. This class meets again in a month and I will be doing my Christmas shopping Jenn |

"vegetarian" lunch
"jayjay" wrote in message ... "RLW" wrote in message ... LOL. I've had similar stuff happen to me. How about when you tell people you're a vegetarian and they say "So do you eat fish?" Since when did fish grow on plants? ) Well, I have met many people who say they are vegetarians, but will eat fish, drink milk, and eat eggs. I thought there were different levels/types of vegetarianism. They may call themselves vegetarians, but if they eat fish, (a type of meat), they are not vegetarians. If they eat eggs, they're Ovo-vegetarians, if they eat dairy, they're Lacto-vegetarians, and if they eat both eggs and dairy, they're Lacto-Ovo vegetarians. I was a vegetarian (lacto-ovo) for three years. I remember visiting the mid-west (southern Indiana) and they onyl vegetables I could find at restaurants, other than iceburg lettuce salads (yuk!!!!!) were deep-fried. Needless to say, I didn't eat much during that trip. Martha |
