thank you so much, her vocal cords still work, Lee
Deb in Northern California wrote in message ... Lee, Sending good thoughts to Miss Violette for a speedy recovery and an clear pathology report. Debbie "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... I gained .6 for a total weight of 159. I tried the core plan this week. I am not comfortable journaling and I have kept some notes. I am going to recreate a journal to see what happened. I only managed to have the "good" fat one day this week which may be part of the problem. I am going to go for another week because I think I need to know if this is a plan I can use while traveling. It was a great deal less stress eating out and traveling on this plan. I feel good and hope all of you do also. I did have some major stress this week and I think this might have been a contributor to me not eating very much. I took a trip on Saturday to STL, 2 hours each way to meet my parents for lunch. Then on Monday we went again, stayed overnight and came back late on Tuesday. This meant a bunch of eating other people's food. I always retain water when I am in the car for extended periods of time. Then this morning I took my cat, Miss Violette to the vet to have a growth removed. I had her teeth cleaned at the same time to avoid having to anesthetize her a second time should it be needed. The vet had originally said that it should be done in the future but when this came up we did both now. The good news is that she came through the surgery fine. Other good news is that the vet found an abscessed place in her gum. It had nothing to do with her teeth but could have made her very ill if it had not been found. The bad news. The growth we thought was just an annoying cyst might be cancer. The vet said it didn't look good at all so it went to the pathologist. Sorry for going on but this cat is very special to me. again, I am not happy about losing but I am still fine in my head and heart because I know that devoting three or four weeks to the core plan will let me learn about me, and the worst that happens is that I gain and go back to flex points. best of luck to you all this week, Lee |

she is important because she convinced DH cats could be a good thing. I
said to him after we got home, at least I think I have seen the last of the 160s and that is a real blessing. Prairie Roots wrote in message ... I understand how a pet can be a beloved part of the family. I'm so sorry for your cat and for you. At least you're still in the one-fives. thanks for the hugs. She at least still has her "tude" DH went to check on
her and we ended up running through the house and it was like a bad movie. If she had gotten under the head board we would have all been a mess. DH wrenched his back this morning so I would have had to move the head board to get her and it is too long to do easily. He ended up hurting his back again and I almost panicked. She is now quiet as I think she tired herself out running. The NSV is that DH trapped her at the end of the hall but couldn't reach over to get her. He did get down on his knees to block her path and as I scooted by him he said, good thing you lost, you couldn't have done that 90 pounds ago and the cat would have been home free, Lee who keeps telling herself this too shall be lost Laura wrote in message ... So sorry to hear about your beloved cat. They are definitely part of the family so it is upsetting when they get sick. Hopefully yours will get better real soon. Don't worry about the tiny gain. You'll do better next week. Just keep doing the program and it will come off. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself. Hugs to you. "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... I'm sorry to hear about your kitty Lee. We have 3 cats (none of them related
to each other) and they are all so different. I do have a favourite, our youngest. She's a 2 yo torti and has the loveliest nature. I would be devasted if anything happened to her.
