thank you for the support, Lee
assileM wrote in message ... I'm sorry to hear about your kitty Lee. We have 3 cats (none of them related to each other) and they are all so different. I do have a favourite, our youngest. She's a 2 yo torti and has the loveliest nature. I would be devasted if anything happened to her. Melissa "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... I gained .6 for a total weight of 159. I tried the core plan this week. I am not comfortable journaling and I have kept some notes. I am going to recreate a journal to see what happened. I only managed to have the "good" fat one day this week which may be part of the problem. I am going to go for another week because I think I need to know if this is a plan I can use while traveling. It was a great deal less stress eating out and traveling on this plan. I feel good and hope all of you do also. I did have some major stress this week and I think this might have been a contributor to me not eating very much. I took a trip on Saturday to STL, 2 hours each way to meet my parents for lunch. Then on Monday we went again, stayed overnight and came back late on Tuesday. This meant a bunch of eating other people's food. I always retain water when I am in the car for extended periods of time. Then this morning I took my cat, Miss Violette to the vet to have a growth removed. I had her teeth cleaned at the same time to avoid having to anesthetize her a second time should it be needed. The vet had originally said that it should be done in the future but when this came up we did both now. The good news is that she came through the surgery fine. Other good news is that the vet found an abscessed place in her gum. It had nothing to do with her teeth but could have made her very ill if it had not been found. The bad news. The growth we thought was just an annoying cyst might be cancer. The vet said it didn't look good at all so it went to the pathologist. Sorry for going on but this cat is very special to me. again, I am not happy about losing but I am still fine in my head and heart because I know that devoting three or four weeks to the core plan will let me learn about me, and the worst that happens is that I gain and go back to flex points. best of luck to you all this week, Lee |

DH says we should have named our yellow one Clarence Darrel instead of
tiger. He looks at you sits down and makes a variety of noises that aren't meows but attempts at something else. He is the one who knows I can't see and escapes from the house to just sit outside quietly to hide from me, only time he shuts up, Lee assileM wrote in message ... hehe! I have to laugh at this...our ginger boy talks....we talk to him and he answers us....and torti girl will talk to if she's in the mood! Melissa "Deb in Northern California" wrote in message ... Sometimes that is a good sign when they are making noise, well if they are normally a vocal cat. I have one that is vocal and one that is not. So when the one that is not normally vocal is, then I need to pay attention to him. The lady is vocal and you just tell her to shut up and wonder what is wrong when she is quiet and you cant find her. Debbie "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... thank you so much, her vocal cords still work, Lee Deb in Northern California wrote in message ... Hi, Lee, too bad about the gain, next week will be better. I know you must
be sad about Miss Violette, I only have one cat at a time but I become very attached to the cat that currently owns me. As to the Core program, I am still Tracking my food while using Core points. I am easily distracted and I would forgot to include those points that needed to be counted. I don't get weighed until tomorrow. Given that my last two weigh ins were both gains, this week has to be better. -- Take Care Catherine joined 5/20/98 Lifetime 6/2/99 154/139.4/136 Personal goal 126 "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... best of luck to you, I intended to only have 2 at a time to keep each other
occupied but that was not the plan and five were sent and I care for them and it is a privilege. I think this week will be better because I am going to track all points and eat on the core to see how that works. There will be no limit on core foods but I need to know how I am doing as I am afraid it will get out of hand, Lee Catherine White wrote in message . net...
