Cycling question
I got a question...
I'm thinking of maybe buying a bike, to cycle to work... but I got no clue of an average cycling speed.... I'm in good shape.. of course haven't cycled in years.. but I'm thinking after a 2 weeks of suffering my muscles would get used to the idea.. they always do.. so far.. One location is 11 miles from home... the other is 9 miles.. both are fairly flat with a few moderate hills.. How long can I expect to take? I know there's no precise number as it depends on shape, bike etc.. I'm just trying to figure out if it's feasible.. Any cyclers out here? Will~ |

That's easily achievable by most people and is a good crusing speed, especially if you have to react quickly at traffic lights or other road signals. An experienced cyclist in good shape, when pushing the envelope, would reach 20-22mph. Sprint at 25mph. -- Pierre |

Cycling question
Thanks everybody !!!! Consensus seems to be 12-15 mph, so about an hour
(counting traffic, stops cow crossing the street etc) which is a bit long but not by any means un-feasable.. Will~ "Pierre Dubuc" wrote in message ...
