Day 26 and another pound gone

265/248/200 Day 26 and 17 pounds are gone. Got on my scales today and saw another pound was gone. Quite unexpected, in part because I've been drinking a lot of diet soda, but I'm quite happy with it anyway. My pulse rate lately has been in the high 50s in the morning and the mid 60s at night. (I take when I wake up and when I go to sleep. Over time, I expect the pulse rate to go slightly lower. Before this diet, it had been in the 70s at night.) I guess I had about 1300 calories yesterday, and once 300 were subtracted for exercise, that brought my total to about 1000. That's my target for today and I'm going to increase it substantially tomorrow (Saturday) because I'm going snowshoeing on Sunday and I don't want to be overly weak on the snowshoe trail. On my watch band is the number "17" to indicate that 17 pounds have been lost. Once the month switches to February, I intend to start putting the day of the program I am on above the number of the pounds lost. (Right now I readily know that it's day 26 because that's the day of the month.) My behavior is now fairly well shaped into an effective weight-loss regimen and I sure intend to keep with what I'm doing.
