Default anyone had seizures?

I am trying to peck this out left handed as I had seizures last week and
broke my right shoulder. Don't know what happened or if it was diet related.
just in a world of pain right now. Please let me know of any others.

Hmmm.....don't assume this has anything to do with diet....get yourself to
the doctor's office asap about the seizures (I assume you told them about
the seizures when your shoulder was treated, right?)...hope you get better
soon.

Nancy,

I can't help you about the seizures, but I'm so sorry to hear you have had
to undergo such a miserable experience. I hope your arm heals up very soon.

No, seizure's are not usually associated with low carb dieting. I
concur with Roger Z., you need to discuss this with your doctor.

Best of luck,

nancy,
what did the ER/URGENT CARE physician think?
are you on any meds with a seizure side effect?
(large doses of wellbutrin/zyban for example)

If anything, low-carb eating is protective, as ketogenic diets have
been used successfully to stop seizure activity for many years.

I don't know of any diet-related problems resulting in seizures per se.
There are wide-spread rumors of aspartame inducing seizures, but
I don't know of any actual documented cases.

This wasn't caused by low-carbing... there's something else going on. Get
yourself examined by a doctor ASAP.

Added note: Ketogenic diets have been used to effectively treat epilepsy in
children.

I was taken to the hospital in an emergency vehicle. I had other seizures in
the ER. they did treat my shoulder and I have a brace and a sling. I do not
believe it was the diet but I still do not know what caused it. I am on a
bunch of meds. didn't gain weight, lost it because I couldn't eat, tongue
was all bit up an still hurts. what a mess. going to stay away from the
carby white stuff but not really going to do much more.

For all of you that responded, blessings. I am pretty miserable but will
visit now and the. thanks.
