Default Chitolite for Weight Loss

For anyone interested in low fat diet and weight loss particularly, you may find this supplement of interest. It's called Chitolite and it's produced by 4LifeResearch. Below is a summary of some test results.

A placebo-controlled, double blind trial of chitosan conducted for six months showed a significantly higher body weight loss and decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the chitosan supplemented group compared to the placebo. The mean body weight decrease and body fat decrease was 16.9 kg and 12.3 kg respectively.

Krotkeiwski, M, Zahorska-Markeiwicz, B, Olszanecka-Glinianowicz, Zurakowski, A: "Chitosan as an adjunct to dietary treatment of obesity." (Abstract) 3rd International Symposium on Chitin Anzymology
and 4th Conference of the European Chitin Society, May 6-10, 2001, Senigallia, Italy.

Sean
