How to cure low body temperature ?

My sister is around 46 years old. She is ALWAYS cold. Even in summer
she is cold.

Her health is normal.

Can anyone suggest what is going on here?

Does anyone have this problem ? Found any solution ? Any over the
counter medicines ?
Any particular foods worked ?

Pls let me know.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Might be a thyroid problem.

Note that feeling cold isn't the same as being cold. Strange how
that works. So 1) Do basal temperature readings. Since those
measurements are done to determine ovulation she may remember
how to do them herself if she ever charted for fertility. And 2) ask
the doctor to do a full hormone panel the next time she's in the
doctor's office. In the US there are two levels of thyroid checks
so make sure she asks for the bigger one.

On feeling warm, lots of people report that low carb makes them
feel warm. A fair number feel cold during the few couple of weeks
of switching over to ketonuria then feel warm, some feel warm as
soon as they get into ketonuria. It isn't everyone who low carbs
but it's sure enough to want to try it for 6 months. Usual caveat -
Lower isn't better. Studies of staying too low show decreased T3
output as early as 2 weeks in and as late as 6 months after no
longer having 100+ left to lose. So the best level is enough carbs
to be just barely in ketonuria not as low as you can get. Probably
that means near 50 not 20 grams per day but the best level does
vary from person to person.

Susan has been discussing cortisol. Any advice on using
macronutrients to control cortisol levels, Susan?
