scale
I have started low carb about one month ago. I decided until I am
down into the next size of my jeans not to get on the scale. I am a very compulsive person and if I get on now, I will be on it three times a day and everyday. This will affect my mornings and determine my whole days mood. I am going by the pants and when I need the next size and can get into them I will get on the scale. So far the pants are getting looser! |

I always used jeans to tell me I was losing too the first time I did low
carb.. I would go shopping and buy the next smallest size I could barely squeeze into, lol. Just wait until you're squeezing into a size 6 and then a couple weeks later they FIT!! We don't need no stinkin' scale, lol. Teeb "maralyn" wrote in message om... I have started low carb about one month ago. Folks ask how often they should step on the scale. My answer: How often did you step on the scale before starting? That often. Some people step on the scale every day as a part of their morning routine. They've done it for years already. They are fully aware of their large daily water swings. These few folks should feel free to continue to step on the scale every day as a part of their morning routine. Some people step on the every month or two. They have no idea about daily water retention swings. These folks should continue to step on the scale every month or two. It is what their reality used to be, so it is what their reality should continue to be. Of course few are ever willing to do it this way. Good wisdom, Maralyn. |

I wish I had stepped on the scale last January to head off this massive
weight gain over the summer! :-( I also used an old pair of jeans that used to fit to measure how I'm doing. They fit ok now, but could be a little loose for a comfortable fit. I thnk I need to lose at leat 15 more ilbs? Mark -- 285/236/210 6' 1 " Aug/03/03 Literally Walked MY Ass Off!
