Another restaurant with low-carb option
Hi everyone,
I don't recall any posts about this restaurant, so I thought I'd pass it along. It's called Baja Fresh. I went there yesterday with my sister and her kids and the food was really good. The big surprise to me was that they have a page on their menu that has meals for different lifestyles, both low-carb (they call it high protein) as well as low fat. I tried a dish called chicken picado, which is basically chicken fajitas served without the wraps. But they also include a side salad instead of beans and rice. Another nice thing is they give you a breakdown of protein, carbs, fat, and calories right on the menu. The dish I had was listed at 650 calories, 67g protein, 31g fat, 31g carbs, and 14g fiber. Not really for those of you on strict induction, but for me it was nice to find a real meal like that for only 17 net carbs. Anyway, the menu has a list of cities on the back and since they seem to be in most major markets I just wanted to pass along another low-carb alternative place to eat out. Oh, and if you're up to a little cheat, the chips and salsa were good too! =D -- Phil Sansotta 250/242/199.2/170 Highest (2-2003)/Back on LC (6-2003)/Current/Goal Jan Challenge Goal: 193.2 |

Another restaurant with low-carb option
Thanks for the info. There is one that just opened across the street and I
have been wanting to check it out. Sounds like dinner this week sometime. -- Melisa 203/172/140 http://www.users.qwest.net/~ztimm/blog/ "Phil S." wrote in message ...
