Sorry for asking this question but its got me a bit worried.

Been on a diet now for just over 1 week, all going well lost 5 pounds
so far and quiet happy with it. Quite liking pasta / salads rather
than the normal chips / potatoes with everything.

I've been overweight now for 10 years since I left school and on my
old diet went to the toilet everyday. Since I started cutting down
on FAT I'm now going once in 4 days. Is that normal? I really have
no idea what is normal on a low fat diet.

Lately I've been having foods such as apples, oranges, salads, pasta,
tuna, mince, pork chops, pitta bread, corn flakes, and an odd glass
of vodka.

Are you drinking enough fluids? The new foods may be changing the rate of
progression so to speak!

A change in your diet can certainly make a change in body functions. You
might have more fiber in your current diet compared to your previous one.
Be sure you're drinking plenty of water. Here's an article that might

Not enough variety and not enough fiber. Add some legumes like lentils
which you can probably get at the local Paki take-away.

instead of white pitas and white pasta, and regular corn flakes, you should be
buying all sorts of whole grain products. try whole spelt pasta, for example.
that will add more fiber.
